About

Our mission at Woof and Meow, is to provide quality pet care ( dog, cats, fish, birds, rabbits, and more..) by being a “budget friendly” neighborhood business in the Boston community. We have been serving our coverage areas for well over 10 years and counting.

As a Boston area pet owner, I see the rising costs of animal health care and family expenses, and as a result continue to maintain reasonable pricing for our services. I feel paying expensive NYC/Back Bay service rates in the areas we cover makes no sense. I for one, would not pay 20.00 or more for a single weekday walk/ cat visit, in my residential neighborhood. When designing my business, I did so by avoiding using a profit margin over local demographic business model, and then envisioned how I would want my pet to be cared for, balanced by what seems reasonable to pay, while also considering a pet’s age or number of pets in the household.

At Woof and Meow, we offer rates on average starting near 12.00 per dog walk (Roslindale/Jamaica Plain) or cat visit, and provide discounts for Senior pets or young puppies. Our walking standard is a city style leashed only format. We don’t provide off leash park visits or hikes. I have always felt it’s an owners choice to go off leash under their supervision, not that of a pet care provider. We are fully insured, maintain a Boston business license, and adhere to State requirements of providing workers compensation insurance coverage. Our team of walkers/sitters are outstanding, and some have been with me for several years, having built a huge client fan base, in the process ( nothing makes me prouder of my team then our clients continual service raves, over the top satisfaction, and steady stream of new referrals).

In the modern age of social media, we tend to stay on the sidelines. I feel daily pet care is our priority, opposed to public daily posts/advertising with pictures of our clients pets. The walkers/sitters and I, instead send private pictures and texts for the more personal touch. We do use social media for our client only contests and posting the winners, and also for holiday/ weather related service updates. I enjoy social media on my personal time, but always shy away from using it for my business ego or self promotion.

I really hope you tour our website, like what you see, and reach out for a consultation. We are always accepting new clients and would like nothing more than adding you to our furry ( fins and feathers too) family of pet clients.
